Math 1113 Precalculus - Online Testing Instructions
(READ VERY CAREFULLY !)

Students,

Reminder the Final Exam is scheduled for Monday 7-23-12.  
(NO OTHER OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE UNLESS WE HAVE TALKED!)

You need to login to Ga VIEW VISTA and sign up for a test time slot.  You of course only choose 1 time slot.

DO THIS BY Sunday 7/22/12 @ 5:00 pm!
IF YOU DON"T SIGN UP FOR A TIME SLOT THERE WILL NOT BE A TEST FOR YOU!


IF YOU SIGN UP TO TAKE THE Final ON MONDAY (7-23-12)
IN STATESBORO at 5:00PM or 6:00 PM COME TO
ROOM # H-193 IN THE EGC Statesboro BUILDING HWY 301 South.

  • EVERYONE MUST TAKE THE FINAL EXAM!
  • I recommend studying your old tests and practice tests
    (both on the class website and MyMathLab) to prepare for the final.
    You should also study anything we did in class. (Class Notes, Textbook, online quizzes, etc.)
  • I think it is a good idea to "spread out" your study time. For example study a test per day.

        Don't just study the night before the final!
  • The final exam will consists of either 33 or 50 multiple choice questions. (3 or 2 points each)   100 points total !
    Don't assume the final exam is easy because it is multiple choice !
  • Be sure and get the formula sheet from above and practice with it as you study for the final.
  • Your final grade will be calculated as follows:

    (Add your 4 test scores) + (3*your mid-term) + (your homework grade) + (3*final exam score) + (bonuses)
  • __________________________________________________________________________ = Final grade
  •                                                                  1100 points
  • You do NOT need to bring a Scranton I will provide one.
  • DON'T FORGET YOUR CALCULATOR !!        (I can't allow students to share calculators during the final exam.)
  • Cell phones are not allowed as calculators
  • Do your scratch work neatly. You may need to go back and look over a previous problem!
    BE SURE TO USE A PENCIL ! (You may need to erase some work you do.)

BE SURE AND BRING YOUR CALCULATOR FOR THE TEST.
Practice problems are available on the course website. Of course you should do this to get more practice getting ready for the test and to see if you are ready for the test.

Practice problems are also available on MyMathLab like the homework but instead of clicking on "Do Homework" you will click on "Take a Test".

USUALLY IF A STUDENT DOES WELL PRACTICING FOR THE TEST AND HOMEWORK THEN THEY DO WELL ON THE TEST.


PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING A PHOTO ID WITH YOU WHEN YOU COME TO TAKE THE TEST.


I MUST have proof of identification to let you take the test.  Drivers license or a student id card is fine.
